ABOUT SIERRA

I’m a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with five years of experience in the mental health field. I use a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centred approach to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel comfortable opening up. I understand that vulnerability can be challenging, which is why I tailor my methods to meet your unique needs while helping you reconnect with your inner resilience and sense of self.

My practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Art Therapy. I believe in working alongside clients, not above them, creating a collaborative environment where your experiences are honored and your goals guide the direction of our work. Together, we’ll explore what healing and growth look like for you, at your own pace.

I am also a Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) provider, supporting eligible First Nations and Inuit clients in accessing mental health services.

If you’re interested in learning more, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to explore your goals and determine if we’re a good fit to work together.

  • My approach to therapy is down-to-earth, collaborative, and shaped by who you are and what you need. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method—people have many layers, and so does healing. I pull from different approaches like CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed care, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also bring in anti-oppressive and strength-based practices, and when it fits, I use practices  like art therapy or motivational interviewing to help explore what might be hard to say out loud. Overall, I focus on building a space where you can feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard because I believe real change happens when we feel truly seen.
