Sometimes this happens. There may be times when you find you do not fit well with your therapist for various reasons and that is okay. It is our goal to help you locate a service that fits your needs and helps you to feel comfortable. Therapy is vulnerable, your therapeutic rapport is very important. If you decide that you may not fit well with your therapist, we invite you to let us know. We will work to provide you with a list of working professionals that may fit better for you.

You often do not need to bring anything with you to session. At times we may ask you to bring a copy of the consent and intake forms we provide to you. You are invited to bring any items that may help you to feel calm, grounded, secure, or comfortable (i.e. colouring book, tension ball, journal, fidget spinner, etc.). For your initial session it may be helpful to bring with you some thoughts for goals of therapy and approaches that you have tried in the past. There may be times when we decide on an activity to try out between sessions as well.
